Welcome to the website for the Suffolk Branch of the National Association of Retired Police Officers.

"Bridging the past & future"

This site is split into a number of tabs offering a differing level of access to members of the public, NARPO Suffolk members and those having administrative or executive responsibility. The restricted areas of the website are to allow relevant discussions and information updates to be made known to all subscribing members of Suffolk NARPO Branch and to ensure that the Branch is well managed.

The Suffolk Branch of NARPO is open to all retired police officers. Whilst the vast majority of our full members served in the Suffolk Constabulary we also welcome officers from elsewhere who have retired to live in Suffolk. Serving officers who have completed 28 years service or are 53 years of age may apply for Associate Membership prior to full membership status upon their retirement.  Retired police civilian support staff or any other person who has had a long standing working relationship with the Constabulary can also apply for Associate Membership.  Click the tab for details of how to apply.

Within the Suffolk NARPO Branch there are three Areas: - Northern, Southern & Western - with their own area committees. Their primary role is to meet the welfare needs of our members at a local level. Members living outside the County may affiliate to one or more of these Areas.  At the commencement of 2011 the Branch comprised of over 800 members. The national headquarters of NARPO is based at Wakefield.

There are many benefits to being a member, and the weekly cost for Full or Associate Membership is less than the cost of a first class postage stamp (click here and find out for yourself) - and newly retired members of the Suffolk Police Federation actually have their first 12 months NARPO subscription paid for by the Federation!

Our aim is to support the welfare, social and information needs of our members.  Details of how this occurs can be found under the relevant tabs.

Your feedback is important to us as we head towards the future.  Please use the ‘Contact us’ link as appropriate.
